Wally Wright, DP, Videographer
With forty years of experience in the industry, Wally is the veteran videographer on the BCC team. He's worked for all of the major networks as well as PBS, ESPN, and HBO. He's also done projects for General Motors, Allstate and various advertising agencies.
"Telling stories with pictures" is how Wally describes what he does. He applies the rules of good picture storytelling to his work, bending them as needed to create a more powerful visual experience.
One of Wally's key skills is lighting the interview situation. He does a lot of still photography, and his expertise in lighting for the still portrait dovetails beautifully with video "people" shots.
How the videographer "sees" is of paramount importance in Wally's work. His studies in the field of art, coupled with a passion for fine photography, allow him to constantly improve his"eye".The result is truly creative videography.
Wally received a BFA from the University of Iowa.
